Replacement worktops

We also remove all your old kitchen units and appliances. This means that you can be confident that the installation of your new kitchen will a hassle-free process.

Worktops

We can help you plan your kitchen from scratch. We offer a complete kitchen installation from carpentry to laying flooring, tiling the walls, painting and the plumbing and heating.

What kind of worktops do you want? Granite, marble, stainless steel, laminate, wood, glass?

Granite - won't burn or scratch and keeps it's colour, does need sealing from time to time to prevent staining.

Wood - although the appearance is beautiful it does scratch, burn and stain easily. Needs oiling.

Laminate - the most inexpensive option, loads of colours and patterns to choose from. It is not cut and scratch resistant and can get scorched from hot pans.

Stainless steel - durable and easy to clean, but it dents and scratches easily.

Units & Cabinets

Fitted kitchen units make the most of the available space. There is a huge range of units to suit everyone, flat pack, chipboard, solid wood, stainless stell.

Free-standing units create a more individual look and when you move they can go with you. However, free-standing units don't utilise space as well as fitted units, and also cleaning can be more difficult. Then again, you can move the units around if you fancy a change.

Kitchen Sinks

Most of the time spent in the kitchen is at the kitchen sink!

Stainless steel - very popular as it is low maintenance and lasts almost indefinitely. Choose metal that is as thick as you can afford with good insulation underneath as it won't sound tinny.

Composite - also very popular. These do not scratch, chip or crack easily. Acrylic sinks look similar but are not as tough but cost less.

Ceramic - traditional, or Counrty Style, kitchens often use ceramic sinks. This is what the Belfast sink is made of. Very thick, heavy and expensive.

Kitchen taps

One of the hardest working pieces of equipment in the kitchen. It's used all day, every day, so it is vital to buy a tap that not only looks good but is built to last.

Kitchen flooring

The kitchen floor is probably the most heavily used in the home. So it needs to be tough enough to withstand hot spills, sharp objects dropped on it, children and animals!

Ceramic tiles - the choice is endless, With so many styles and colours to choose from you will find one that suits you.

Natural stone - again, there is such a wide variety available now, granite, slate, sandstone, marble and quartz. Although natural stone floors are very durable they do stain easily and need resealing occasionally.

Solid wood - these are expensive but feel and look warm. They are durable and look good. Available in plank, tongue & groove, and parquet.

Laminate - a resin finish provides the floor with durability, wear and stain resistance.

Also available are Marmoleum, Vinyl and Cork.

Always remember that, no matter how much you spend on your kitchen, it's got to be for you as most new owners will rip out the kitchen and start again to their taste. However, a well presented kitchen will do wonders for a sale.
