Fitting, fixing and assembling

You know that "self-assembly" flat pack you bought, and although it has been a few weeks now, it still hasn't assembled itself? Just call us and we will provide a handyman to do assemble it for you, saving you time and hassle. Please make sure you have checked the contents when you first get your flat pack to ensure all the bits are there.

We can fit your door furniture, including mortice locks, nightlatches, door knockers, hinges, numbers, letterboxes, door viewers, secuirty latches, internal bolts. You supply it and we will fit it.

Do you need extra storage, or need somewhere to display photos? We can make shelving to suit your requirements or fit shelving that you have bought. You decide if you want brackets to be seen or hidden (floating). Floating shelves need a secure installation. We can advise you on what you need. If you would like us to make shelving for you we would need to make a survey and estimate visit to assess and measure for your requirements. We charge a small fee of £20 + vat for this. We will then email you a quote for the job.

Got a door that won't close, or sticks? Or maybe you have installed new flooring and the bottom of the door is catching. We can plane and adjust your door so that it closes again. We will check the locks to make sure they line up.  After the door has been planed, there will be an exposed wooden edge, we can paint this with primer but if you would like a matching finish such as gloss or satinwood, we would need a return visit due to paint drying times.

Cupboard doors can cause all sorts of frustration! Most of the time the hinges can be adjusted to help align the doors, stop them catching or rubbing and help them to close more smoothly. Our handymen have all the right tools and know how to make your cupboard doors open and close like new!

Child proofing  once your little one is on the move, call us to help you child proof your home. We can fit stairgates, appliance locks, drawer locks, oven guards, corner guards and finger guards.

Prevent tiny tots falling through dangerous gaps on the stairs with stair post guards. A banister guard fills the gaps between banister railings, verandahs and decking.
